Cut & Craft Manchester Case Study

Cut & Craft have made a name for themselves as purveyors of premium steak accompanied by a luxury dining experience. Their venues are renowned for stylish interiors, atmospheric lighting, and a high-end vibe that blends glamour with comfort. Their latest opening in Manchester is no exception.

Set in a magnificent former banking hall, the new Cut & Craft Manchester is anything but understated. It’s a dramatic, opulent space designed to make a statement, and Granite House was proud to be a part of it.

After a competitive pitch process, we were commissioned to deliver a range of bespoke stone elements, with the centrepiece being a curved, backlit bar made from Lemurian Blue Granite. This material was chosen for its deep blue tones, labradorite flashes and overall sense of drama. We shaped the bar with intricate profiled edges to match the space’s classical detailing, with a glowing blue base adding even more wow-factor. It’s a true statement in stone, and impossible to ignore.

Elsewhere, the interiors continue to surprise. The ladies’ bathroom room, a beautifully warm and feminine space, features vanity tops in Arabescato Orobico Rosso Marble. This pink-toned, highly figured stone was the perfect match – both playful and elegant, bold yet timeless. Sculpted edging details echo the romance of the space and highlight the natural movement within the stone.

Lighting plays a big role in Cut & Craft’s interiors, and nowhere is that more evident than in the backlit stone surfaces. We crafted glowing circular dining tables from translucent Green Onyx, chosen for its subtle veining and soft glow. Meanwhile, other dining areas feature Fusion Wow Quartzite – a show-stopping stone with rich gold, grey and cream swirls – fabricated into circular tables and a wine service station.

The secondary bar area features Tiffany Green Marble, a soft, verdant stone that brings a slightly lighter touch while still feeling indulgent. To continue the visual language across the site, Fusion Wow Green was used to brilliant effect on a decorative sideboard and lamp base, adding richness and depth, without overpowering.

While some materials like White Onyx and Absolute Black Granite were used more subtly throughout the space, their presence adds balance, creating moments of contrast that help anchor the more expressive colours and patterns.

From the gossip lounge to the Edward Walters private dining table, this is a restaurant designed to leave a lasting impression. We’re thrilled to have played a part in helping bring that vision to life, and even more thrilled to see how these natural stones now live, breathe and shine in one of Manchester’s most exciting new venues.

Cut & Craft Manchester officially opened in April 2025.
