Granite House are not just experts at designing and crafting beautiful pieces of stonework, we also have experience in repairing locations that have been severely damaged. When Caffè Nero, Manchester contacted us to repair their shop after a serious accident damaged the storefront, we were on the case.
During lockdown, a delivery driver drove into the shop, causing serious damage to the shop front and the stall drivers. Our team was tasked with coming down to the site to match the existing granite which was part of the existing building cladding.
To begin the process, we took a sample of the broken granite and shipped it to Italy. Here, our suppliers matched the colour and provided us with new samples for approval. The final material was identified as 40mm Granite Antique Brown Dark Flamed. The slabs were handpicked in Italy and sent through a special finishing to match the original stone that lined Caffè Nero. They were then shipped to Granite House.
The process was finished with our surveyors templating the stall risers and internal copings. The slabs were then fabricated by our state-of-the-art CNC machinery into stall risers and tops to replace the damaged ones
Granite House was chosen for this project due to our previous track record of meeting exacting high standards of finish and quality. Thanks to our first-class service, the cafe was able to reopen as if no damage had been done at all.
